From New York to Paris, from ragtime to jazz — THE HELLO GIRLS chronicles the powerful story of America’s first women soldiers. During WWI, communication was essential — but calls weren’t getting through fast enough. Cue The Hello Girls: the incredible bilingual women who operated telephone switchboards and helped turn the tide of the war. And while the war ended some 18 months later for those first female soldiers, their battle for equality and recognition continued for decades, paving the way for future generations.
