SPRING is a great time to explore THEATER

CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP
AGES 6-10
MARCH 7 - MAY 9
Shows: May 8 & 9
Mondays 6:30-8:00
Saturdays 2:15-3:45
Getting to Know Junie B. theatrical workshop class for kids ages 6-10.

Come explore the world of First Grade student Junie with Stage Door Studios and friends. Workshop participants will portray characters from the beloved children's story books by Barbara Parks. Participants can expect to sing, dance, act and have fun, as we work together to tell this fun story. This workshop will be specially created for our youngest group of students to explore this story in a developmentally appropriate way.
In order to ensure a shorter practice schedule and frequent rest breaks for this youngest group, we will have a shorter less rigorous practice schedule than a typical workshop, however students will have the ability to create a show that is all their own and allows them to shine in the Stage Door Spotlight. We are planning to create a show that is approximately 30-45 minutes. Because this is such a unique workshop experience, the deadline to reserve your spot is March 1st.

We would like for the kids to come for 1 hour on Saturday, March 7, from 2:30-3:30 so that we can meet them and be able to place them in a role in which they will shine. We will be teaching them a song that they can start listening to and getting familiar with prior to March 7th - LISTEN HERE!

We will then meet at our normal time, 2:15-3:45 pm starting on practice on Saturday the 14th of March.

Cost: $250 which includes a Script, access to rehearsal tracks, a show t-shirt and some costume
pieces and props. (Families may be asked to provide some pieces).
SCHEDULE:
Practices are Mar 14 - May 4 Mon evenings (6:30-8:00) and Sat afternoon (2:15-3:45).
Please note that show week practices, will be slightly longer (till 8:30) and an additional Wednesday evening practice will be added.
