Songs for a New World Participant
Being at Stage Door Studios has always been a joy. Debbie and Heather are great encouragement and having them as instructors is such a blessing. I just started lessons last year and I have made so many new friends through the studio. All of the recitals and events are so fun and exciting to perform at! Debbie really works hard to make learning fun and has me leaving the studio every week feeling encouraged and passionate about music.

​Throughout this previous summer, I performed in both vocal intensives that were directed by Debbie and Heather, those being The Pirates of Penzance and Songs For A New World. I can without a doubt say that I had an absolute blast being a part of both productions and I learned a lot more about singing and my voice. I had the ability to meet new people from all across northeast Ohio and find ways to stir up conversations with them. Overall, I can say that these vocal intensives really improved how I sing with the help of both Debbie and Heather and I had so much fun with the people in both intensives.

I started with Debbie Cardy in 6th grade, and being a senior in high school, I can honestly say she's helped me improve immensely. Without her assistance, I wouldn't be half of the singer or performer I am today. She works tirelessly to help me succeed vocally and at any auditions I may have. She is an excellent teacher.

​Debbie has helped me become more comfortable when performing on stage. She has also made me very confident when I am singing whether it is in a choir or a musical. Whenever I am working with Debbie it is always a fun time no matter what. Debbie has worked and worked at all of my audition songs until I have them down perfectly.
